ACUPUNCTURE:

We are using T.M.C. and also advanced and modern forms of acupuncture to treat pain. This is a result of a mixture of modern science and the traditional Chinese medicine. These are rare forms of acupuncture you could find in some Chinese hospitals today, as well as in a few ”pain relief clinics” in Europe. Even though you have tried acupuncture before, there are still good possibilities that you have still NOT tried the acupuncture methods we are using i Torrevieja.

HOW DOES ACUPUNCTURE WORK? Acupuncture is for us pure science!

The explanation why it works is our IMMUNE SYSTEM. The needles made by steel and silver is a foreign element in our body, it should give an immediate and strong reaction in the immune system. When this happens the body will produce chemical agents (like endorphins and serotonine. Endorphine is a own produced "drug" with an effect approx. 200 times stronger than morphine). These chemicals of the body has a strong pain relieving, anti inflammatory and relaxing effect.

Off course the needles must be put in the right spot, and also has to be stimulated the right way.

NOT EVERYBODY reacts like this when an acupuncture needle enters the system. We estimate that up to 20-30 % of the population has little or no effect from acupuncture. You do not have to wait a long time to find out if it works for you or not. In a few sessions you MUST have positive reactions on pain and inflammation.

Chinese philosophy also talks about "energy/meridians/yin/yang and qui".

Perhaps in the future science will be able to confirm some of these theories. but perhaps was it ancient people trying to explain something that, at the time being, was impossible to them - namely the IMMUNE SYSTEM.

DEPRESSION and ANXIETY is another special field we are also specialising on at the Pain Relief Clinic. Based on the working mechanisms of acupuncture this is also a field where we often see great results. Esepcially when combined with bio-chemical normalisations through the IoMET analysis.

All the manipulations you are used to from chiropractic treatment, but also mobilization of joints and work on the soft tissue.

Osteopathy is the original manipulative therapy for the sceleton.

Osteopathy usually involves both more time and different mobilisations than chiropractics.

PHOTON BIO INFRARED ENERGY - "Photon Dome"

The Photon Dome (personal sauna) emits bio infrared heat waves the body can absorb. ROAD DIRECTIONS:

IF YOU COME FROM THE NORTH, ALICANTE:

Find the national road N332, go south until you have just passed the town of Torrevieja .

Continue on the N332 and go passed the exit towards the new motorway (AP7) and San Miguel de Salinas. Look for the garden center on the R hand side, the second next road on the R is urbanizations Rocajuna and Las Barcas. You should see the big blue sign with white letters "Pain Relief Clinic" Go R here and straight ahead for about 100 m.

IF YOU COME FROM THE SOUTH, CARTAGENA:

Find the N332 and go North. You will pass the urbanizations: Campoamor, Cabo Roig, La Zenia, Playa Flamenca and Punta Prima. After the roundabout at Punta Prima you will see on the left hand side of the road "Vega car" then Motel Las Barcas, the next entrance is Las Barcas/Rocajuna. BUT it is not legal to do a left turn, so you have to continue towards Torrevieja, take the next exit to the right,then go left in the traffic lights, underneath the N332 and then take the third exit in the roundabout to come back south on the N332.

IF YOU COME FROM INLAND, ORIHUELA CV95 - OR ON THE MOTORWAY AP7:

Exit from the motorway AP7 towards "Torrevieja/Sur" go on the CV95 through Lago Jardin and Los Balcones towards Torrevieja. Go stright through the roundabout just in front of the new hospital. Then take the first exit in the next roundabout to enter the N332 and go south. A garden center will come up on the right hand side, then urbanization Los Altos, the next exit right is Rocajuna/Las Barcas, you should see our sign: "Pain Relief Clinic" turn right - YOU ARE THERE!

We are a 100% family company. Medicine and especially alternative therapies are almost "running in our veins".

Bernard Holmedal, Director. Both his parents are German educated Heilpraktikers as he is himself. A heilpraktiker is a "G.P." of alternative medicine.

Bernards mother Gullborg still runs the original family clinic "Naturopatisk Institutt" in Haugesund Norway.

Bernard is educated at the European College of Natural Medicine Hamburg Germany 1982-1987. He has more than 25 years of experience in alternative medicine.
